We had a couple days of slow action and today all of that changed. We had good action on both SEABASS and LING with limits of SEABASS plus 10 to 20 LING tossed in the coolers. A few bonus FLOUNDER were caught as well. We're sailing EVERY DAY 7:30 AM. Come on down!

Today started out slow, but ended on a good bite. Jigs and teasers worked best early on, and the bait worked better toward the end of the day. I suggest to bring a light rod to jig the SEABASS. We're sailing EVERY DAY 7:30 AM.

With hull inspection complete, it’s time to buckle down and focus on the next steps. Over the past few days, our dedicated captain, crew, and company have worked tirelessly to refresh the deck, apply anti-fouling paint, balance the propellers, replace zinc plates, perform welding repairs, and inspect our hot water heater. Love those heated handrails! Next up, we’re heading back into the water and making our way home to prepare for topside inspection, which will include fire drills, safety inspections, and a man-overboard drill. The alignment of the center of gravity, making sure the keel sits on the rails and then blocks, speaks to the attention to detail that goes into ship maintenance. Once the DAUNTLESS is in place, it’s the perfect opportunity to inspect her—checking hull integrity, propellers, rudders, and systems that keep this beauty running smoothly. It’s a routine, and an art, ensuring the ship is in position for USCG inspection, maintenence, cleaning & paint. Bright and early Thursday morning The Mighty DAUNTLESS will be hoisted out of the water where we will have access to the entire ship. Our hardworking, talented crew will be cleaning, sanding, painting and making repairs and updates. We will be Coast Guard inspected and back to 47 Broadway Basin next week. Joe caught himself some nice Cod and Ling today. At this time we are targeting Cod, Ling, and some Flounder are showing up too. Seabass season opens May 17th, and we are seeing a nice amount of them as well. We Sail EVERYDAY from 7:30 to 3:30 and the fishing is picking up, so pick a nice day and climb aboard.

Be sure to get your spot at the rails before the season for Blackfish ends (April 30th).. Currently the action is slow with a nice mix of keeper Blackfish, Cod and Ling in the mix. Spring Into Action! We pulled up Cod, Blackfish and a few Ling today. Most had catches of 2 to 8 keeper fish in their coolers. Heavy action on the shorts was fun and kept us swinging at the rails. Pick a nice day and join us.
