With hull inspection complete, it’s time to buckle down and focus on the next steps. Over the past few days, our dedicated captain, crew, and company have worked tirelessly to refresh the deck, apply anti-fouling paint, balance the propellers, replace zinc plates, perform welding repairs, and inspect our hot water heater. Love those heated handrails! Next up, we’re heading back into the water and making our way home to prepare for topside inspection, which will include fire drills, safety inspections, and a man-overboard drill. Check our photos section for more. Onward and upward!
Work, Work, Work

The precision involved in maneuvering a 67-ton vessel to drydock is impressive. The alignment of the center of gravity, making sure the keel sits on the rails and then blocks, speaks to the attention to detail that goes into ship maintenance. Once the DAUNTLESS is in place, it’s the perfect opportunity to inspect her—checking hull integrity, propellers, rudders, and systems that keep this beauty running smoothly. It’s a routine, and an art, ensuring the ship is in position for USCG inspection, maintenence, cleaning & paint. This process is about preserving the vessel and about maintaining the pride of those who serve on her. Check our photos & stay tuned.
